Nigeria's Burna Boy Nominated for a Grammy!

2019 has been Burna Boy's year! His album, African Giant, has made ripples since its release and gained him a nomination in the Best World Music Album Category for the 62nd Grammy Awards.The nominees in this category consisted of albums who had at least 51% playing time.

Born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy characterises his sound as Afro-fusion with heavy inflences from Fela Kuti, one of Nigeria's greatest musicians.

The winner is set to be announced on January 26, 2020.

Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, Tiwa Savage, Banky W., and many more have since taken to social media to  congratulate Burna Boy on nomination.
