2020: NYSC to Activate 6,000 Prospective Corps Members
An total of about 6,000 planned corps members from different establishments of higher learning in Nigeria will be activated for the 2020 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Batch 'B' direction practice this month.
Chief General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Shaibu Ibrahim unveiled this in Jos, Plateau State capital, yesterday during a pre-direction course workshop coordinated for partners.
He stated, “We are prepared to deploy 6,000 corps members to participate in the 2020 Batch B exercise. We have gone round the country to ensure that the camps are also ready. We are going to merge those who suspended their orientation in March to also participate for the forthcoming National orientation exercise.”
Ibrahim said that NYSC the board had set up all COVID-19 conventions in an offer to contain the pandemic in order to diminish network transmission in the camps the nation over.
As per him, the NYSC the board was ready to guarantee severe consistence to the rules in the entirety of their exercises, including the issuance of authentications of National Service to corps individuals that have effectively finished their public help.
