Four presumed bandits and an officer kicked the bucket, when troops of Operation Hadarin Daji conflicted with 'criminal components,' on Thursday, in Marina Village, Safana Local Council of Katsina State. 

The Director, Army Public Relations, Mohammed Yerima, uncovered this in an assertion, yesterday, labeled: 'Re: Many Soldiers Feared Killed As Bandits Storm Military Base In Katsina.' 

He said reports that an "unknown number of fighters were dreaded murdered in the assault on a troop station in Marina" were "bogus and unconfirmed".

The assertion read: "To put any misinformation to rest, troops of Operation Hadarin Daji, while directing leeway activity against furnished bandits and other criminal components on March 4, 2021, drew in and effectively killed four outfitted bandits, caught arms and bike during an experience with the equipped bandits in Marina town in Safana Local Council of Katsina State. 

"The unsubstantiated number of equipped men with a vague number of stirred cows were located and blocked along Batsari-Runka Road. Nonetheless, trying to escape from the soldiers' assault, the bandits inconsistently terminated at the soldiers' course, however, the chivalrous soldiers reacted with predominant capability followed by direct pursuit, along these lines constraining the bandits to pull out in disorder. 

"During the experience, four-furnished bandits were killed, while others got away with different levels of gunfire wounds. The soldiers additionally caught two AK-47 rifles and one cruiser having a place with the bandits. 

"Lamentably, one courageous trooper paid the preeminent penance during the experience. Troops have overwhelmed the overall territory and are following the getting away from bandits." 

Yerima said Army specialists praised the heroic soldiers for the victories accomplished and their responsibility up until this point.
