Businessman Sentenced To 30 Months For Calling Gov Fintiri ‘Father Of All Thieves’
A Yola Chief Magistrate Court II, managed by Magistrate Japhet Basani, has convicted and sentensed a Numan-based businessman, Ali Yakubu Numan, to a two and a half year prison term for calling Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri 'Father of all thieves.’
Numan was sentenced on Wednesday to two-year prison term with choice of N50,000 fine for utilizing defamatory language against Fintiri. He was additionally sentenced to half year detainment without alternative of fine for disturbance of public peace.
