Year of the Return: Top Events in Ghana!

"The Year of Return" is an initiative by the Ghanaian President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. It marks the 400th year anniversary of the arrival of the first enslaved Africans in the United States in 1619. This year long event celebrates African resilience and unity by inviting individuals of African decent from the United States and worldwide to Ghana. Scheduled activites include: spiritual pilgrimages, business and investment meetings, concerts; in short, just the witnessing the general display of Ghanaian culture! This initiative allows decendants of past slaves to reclaim their birthright as 75% of slave dungeons and castles on the West African coast were built in Ghana.  It is also open to any who wish to have a unique, curated Ghanaian experience.
