Troops kill 4 bandits, recover 3 rifles in Kaduna
The Kaduna State Government said troops of Operation Thunder Strike (OPTS) have murdered four bandits and recuperated three rifles in the Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan affirmed this in an assertion gave on Sunday in Kaduna.
Aruwan said: "Four bandits have been murdered and a few others harmed in a trap activity led by troops around Gwagwada, Chikun neighbourhood government region.

"As indicated by operational criticism from troops of Operation Thunder Strike (OPTS), insight was gotten on bandits development from Katika town towards Antenna in Chikun LGA and because of this, the soldiers laid a chance snare at Antenna town.
"The bandits moved toward the area and in the long run sprang the snare. The soldiers started shooting as they entered the murdering range.
"After the commitment, four of the bandits were affirmed dead, while a few others got away with discharge wounds.
"Three rifles and one hatchet were recuperated from the scene," he added.
The chief said Gov. Nasir El-Rufai complimented the soldiers for quick activity which prompted the effective exercise and the end of the four bandits.
"Inhabitants in the region are asked to report people looking for treatment for dubious wounds by calling the Kaduna State Security Operations Room on 09034000060 or 08170189999," Aruwan said.
