NYSC Bars Eight Foreign Trained Graduates from Service

On Monday, Coordinator Laden Baba, of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kano state disclosed that eight foreign trained Nigerian graduates were denied access to registeration, due to their inability to defend their degrees with consistent and complete documents. 

He also stated that a number of the graduates were lacked basic speaking skills and clearly had not even recieved any formal education but had somehow illegally obtained certificates stating otherwise in Kano and its surrounding areas.

Furthermore, Mr Baba added: “This will undoubtedly require urgent action by the government and good people of Kano in collaboration with the dogged security agencies in the state to checkmate this ugly trend that will affect us negatively."

It was also revealed that out of the 1,700  of 1293 corps members posted to Kano had been registered and undergone training modules for skill acquisition. 

Mr Baba further advised the corps members to contribute immensely towards the development of the state and country.
