Nigerian Man arrested for Trafficking Drugs in Thailand

After purportedly delivering crystal meth to Australia, a Nigerian man and his Thai girlfriend were captured in Bangkok. They were intercepted and captured on Friday evening  attempting to make a shipment at a private mail drop-off point. 

The Nigerian man was recognized as Obimma Anthony and the Thai lady is Marisa Noipitak. The pair were captured by police at the drop-off point with a bundle that contained Buddhist monk offerings  and a hanging frame that were covertly being utilized to conceal drugs.
 
Officials were tipped off about the couple by the Airport Interdiction Task Force at Suvannabhumi Airport after they got a dubious package on August 4. Authorities blocked the bundle en route to Australia and looked through it to discover was filled with monk offerings including a Buddhist priest pillow all loaded with crystal meth, totalling 490 grams. 

At the point when police arrested them, they searched the couple's homes. Anthony's home in Samut Prakan region and Marisa's loft in Bang Kapi. In Anthony's home, they discovered 89 grams of crystal meth, 82 grams of cocaine, and 35 grams of heroin and in Marisa's condo, they discovered 985 grams of crystal meth. 

The Nigerian man and his Thai girlfriend  are presently being held by the Narcotics Suppression Division 3. They have been charged with illegal drug possession and the police are investigating the case further.
