FG Investigates Death Of ‘Stowaway’ On Lagos-Amsterdam Flight

The Federal Government is presently investigating how a Nigerian stowaway boarded a Lagos-Amsterdam trip on Monday.

His body was found under a KLM flight that arrived in Amsterdam on Monday. 

 

Effectively the Dutch specialists have dispatched an examination concerning the man's identity and reason for death after he was found inside a wheel curve.

The man, who is thought to have been a stowaway, died of hypothermia apparently because of loss of oxygen. 

The occurrences of stowaway are not new in Nigerian aeronautics with young people taking dangerous moves to hide in varying compartments of of airplanes. 

On April 2, 2017, another stowaway was found on a Lagos-London Med-View Airline flight however though he survived the more than six hour trip to London Gatwick, he was captured. 

Inside the time frame, another stowaway was captured on an Arik Air Lagos to Benin flight. Examination uncovered that the young fellow thought the plane was going abroad. 

A source at the air terminal said specialists are as of now investigating how the man found his way past security to board the flight. 

The South-West Regional Manager the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Victoria Shin-Aba said examination is continuous on the occurrence. 

She said, "We are attempting to examine it whether it is from here (Lagos Airport) or elsewhere. We are attempting to discover through the CCTV and this is continuous." 

Representative of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Police Command, Olayinka Ojelade said he has not been informed on the episode as he just continued at the order as PPRO.
